As we all know, life is about the choices we make. On the night of December 30, 2006, I made a bad decision. One that was preventable.
After experiencing car trouble in the Village of Oak Creek, I stopped in an establishment as I waited for my wife. Unfortunately, I had some glasses of wine to celebrate the holiday. I was issued a citation for Driving Under the Influence to the slightest degree, .118, later that night.
My Dad passed on to me the value of being an “old school” disciplinarian father. Nothing in my life has been more disappointing than to have to tell my children, “Dad did something to embarrass the family.” If you have never had to do this, I assure you that this is reason enough for it to never happen again. We all are a product of our experiences. Maybe without that experience I would not be here with you today.
